POSITION OVERVIEW:

Work under the direction of a Materials Manager to maintain appropriate inventory levels and acquisition of parts, materials, and services throughout the supply chain for the overall operation of the Company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • Responsible for the daily inventory analysis and procurement of all items necessary or required by the company to have a successful, safe operation and keep aircraft flyable for our customers.
  • Assure that all items requested with an AOG priority are given immediate attention. If they are available, assure that they are being shipped to us immediately to satisfy the needs for the grounded aircraft and MELs for the entire fleet, Oil & Gas, Air Medical and International. If not available then acquire and expedite these items till they are received at our facility. Also keep appropriate Maintenance, Operations, Materials and vendors advised on the status of the items ordered for the AOG.
  • Coordinate logistics of AOG-MEL.
  • Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
  • Keeps the computer system updated as required. Maintain computerized inventory records and insure system control of all inventory items moved to support AOG events.
  • Coordinate with Vendors to assure that parts purchased, repaired, loaned or borrowed for aircraft have correct documentation, PMA, STC or FAA approval when required.
  • Assure that MSDS sheets and shelf life information is sent with the items.
  • Resolve problems concerning AOG purchases such as short/over shipments and part numbers.  Contacts appropriate vendor to resolve these problems.
  • Works with Day Shift Procurement Specialist / Accounts Payable Department concerning any problems concerning invoices and the reconciliationof vendor statement and holding letters associated with AOG events.
  • Daily work with Materials and other company departments as required to insure proper distribution of AOG materials.
  • Keep the computer updated on the price of items, primary part numbers and primary vendors as required
  • Daily review AOG/MEL items with delivery dates, coordinate expediting of AOG items.
  • Record Material information in the AOD database
  • Maintain Daily AOG briefing

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum high school graduate, Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred. Actual work experience in Supply Chain in lieu of college will be considered. 
  • Ability to organize work, basic computer skills, excellent writing and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work well as a team member and ability to represent the company is essential.
  • Ability to multitask in a high tempo operation
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Requirements related to procurement of aviation material preferred
